Transfer Station Trip – plan for the day

Firstly, thank you very much for taking the time to come with us on our trip to the Transfer Station.  If it wasn’t for your support we could not go on trips such as this.  

As you will appreciate, the Transfer Station has many hazards.  This means that we need you to help monitor several children throughout our visit today.  Please follow the directions of our tour guide at all times.  We strongly suggest that you refrain from taking photographs during the visit today as we need your undivided attention to ensure that our children are fully supervised at all times. 

Once we get to the Transfer Station Rooms 20 and 14 will separate and each class will take part in the two activities provided at the centre.  After the first activity, the groups will swap over.  The timetable below shows the plan for the day but is subject to change.

If there is an emergency or you need a First Aid Kit, please inform one of the teachers:

Miss Sarah Ellis (Room 20) or Miss Sam Scarlett (Room 14)

9.00am	BUS LEAVES SCHOOL	Children, teachers and parent helpers depart on the bus together.
9:30am	ARRIVE AT THE TRANSFER STATION	Parking is by the Learning Centre.
9:35am	ROLL CHECK / WELCOME & SAFETY TALK	Teachers will check the roll then hand over to the Educator
9:40am	TOUR – PART 1	Room 20 stay at the Learning Centre with Educator.
		Room 14 go on the bus tour with Educator.
10:40am	MORNING TEA	At the Learning Centre.
10:50am	TOUR – PART 2	Room 14 stay at the Learning Centre with Educator.
		Room 20 go on the bus tour with Educator.
11:50am	ROLL CALL
12:00	BOARD BUS	Children, teachers and parent helpers return to school by bus.
12:40pm	ARRIVE BACK AT SCHOOL	Roll check, then the children will have lunch and their play time.
